Welcome

The NHWS is a friendly and informal group of around 30 people who get together once a month to enjoy a glass (or several) of wine.

You don’t need to know anything about wine to come along. After all, the whole idea of the tastings is for us all to learn something as well as enjoy a social evening …. and (if you're not driving) leave a little less sober than you arrived.

You don't even need to be a member, although there are clear benefits to membership (discount on tastings, monthly newsletter, input to the running of the society).

We have a broad range of ages so, no matter how old or young you are, you won't feel out of place.

We usually meet at 7.45pm on the fourth Wednesday of the month for pre-meeting drinks with the presentation starting at 8pm. You will find us in the Chapter Room, St. Michaels Church Rooms, Church Square, Basingstoke, RG21 7QW. This building is found behind St. Michaels Church on Church Street, and has ample parking.

Click here for an aerial/map view of the location.

Basingstoke is easily reached from Camberley, Hook, Hartley Wintney, Odiham, Alton, Andover, Winchester, Newbury, Fleet and Farnham. We have members from all of these areas.

This website is under reconstruction

.... which is why it looks so bare, but at least you can find out here where/when we meet and who to contact.
